| Ok, was bound to happen. we have music, books and now film thread. Lets talk about our favorite films! yay! Be nice everyone- like music and books talking about ur fave films can draw alot of people into arguments so keep it friendly.
Im a big fan of film in general. I love everything form the artsy- "WTF did I just watch?" to more 'classic' 80s action flick. I have to say that I think action/sci fi is my favorite genre if I had to pick one. Its one of the few genres that can produce films that have a massive impact on pop culture like The Matrix films and still be incrediably thought provoking like Moon directed by Duncan Jones. Just cannot express my love for the scifi genre, Im such a nerd! Top films that I love (I really couldnt put them in order tbh)-
Terminator films (not the 3rd, sooooo badly done, but I'll leave that for another thread) The Matrix Trilogy V for Vendetta Totall Recall Die Hard Highlander District 9 Back to the future trilogy Battle Royale Dark Knight Ghostbusters
The list really goes on. I never realised how many scifi films there are in my top films lol. I guess I'll make another thread in the future for that too. Those are the only ones that spring to mind right now.

| I love films. I did my dissertation on monster movies.
Kick-Ass (loved that film, was EVERYTHING the comic genre needs) Pitch Black The Crow An American Werewolf in London the Evil Dead Trilogy District 9 Spider-Man Iron Man Repo: The Genetic Opera Frankenstein Dracula Sin City Serenity Dark Crystal (much better than Labyrinth, AKA the fan favourite, imo) Gojira (original Japanese Godzilla) The Thing The Fly

| I used to watch a lot of films but never seem to have time for anything any more XD I have a pretty short attention span so I have to really enjoy a film to watch it all the way through without falling asleep!
Here's a few of my faves:
Disney's Alice in Wonderland I <3 Huckabees Blades of Glory Kiss Kiss Bang Bang Amelie LOTR Trilogy Indiana Jones (Original) Trilogy Nightmare Before Christmas Rocky Horror Picture Show Original Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Fifth Element Bring it On Kill Bill 1+2

| hmm, favorite movies. well, i have an ecclectic collection, and Jesterface could confirm that i watch a lot of rubbish, but like him i did my university disertation on film - heck, did my whole course on film and tv - and its coloured my recent viewings, so:
Underworld trilogy Fifth Element Avatar Akira Ghost in the Shell Interview with the vampire Lost Boys the Rocketeer a LOT of chickflicks that i won't even bother mentioning starship troopers Dark City (everyone should see that movie) Iron Man 1/2
...and thousands more besides

| I'd like to add Pontypool to my list. Possibly one of the best and most-interesting and intelligent horror films in years. Don't miss out as you might miss misty misters on a misty... No... Miss a missing... miss miss missing misty mister missing... | |

| Ginger Snaps Cat Returns The Car Maximum Overdrive Brave Little Toaster Howling 1 and 3. 3 may not be a good horror but its a good comedy.
I liked Pontypool but I didn't really get it. Also dat gravelly voice, you know that man brushes his teeth with sand and gargles with rocks.

| Sand and rocks that have been soaked in whiskey for 20 years. He was also in Watchmen briefly as Hollis Mason, the original Nite Owl (not in the film as much as he should have been). | |
