| I have a slight problem I need someone more experienced than me to help with!
I have bought a hoop skirt which is enormous! It looks perfect but I just need a spot of advice - how do I make a skirt to fit over the hoop skirt? I can't figure out how to get it the right size!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! ^_^

| Oh my no haha - sooooo hard! Especially because of the size of this hoop skirt. I bought a bridal one and thank god it is not made too firm or I would not fit through doors!!! Haha. In case it helps, I shall post a photo of it in the next few days. | |

| I think I might know the answer to this. Its really hard trying to explain over the forums so can we discuss at alcon? I think it would mean having to make an 'empty hem' at the bottom of ur dress that u can then feed the wire through. almost like a net certain. again failing to explain well >.< | |

Atashi x Is this for your very top layer or an underskirt? Basically it depends how you want it to look at the waist, if you want it to be flat and smooth with no excess fabric then you can make a gored skirt. My mad hater skirt was gored, you basically just sew a bunch of trapezoid shapes together, like triangles but with flat tops. Sorry, not a very good explenation, its hard to do without pictures! If you don't mind having a gathered look at the waist then you can basically do it the same as that patttern I showed you for a lolita rectangle skirt but change the measurements to fit. If you want it to be a bit neater you can box pleat the waist instead of actually gathering it. Whichever way you do it you basically just need your waist measurement and the measurement of the bottom hoop size. Gored skirt involves a bit more maths but nothing too difficult. Sorry, not the best explination ever! If you want to know more about one or the other or both let me know and I'll draw some diagrams that are easier to understand XD | |
