I used this tut; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZFVRq2Hpl9o for making mine.
Looks good so far, needs trimming and some air/dry brushing just to smooth out the blocks of colour.

thta's definately a more informative tutorial - cheers amy. will use it when i'm making the next head. as for airbrushing, i really like the feel of the fur right now, and i don't think there is too much blocky colour except where i've intended (plus i don't own a spray gun) so i'll skip that for now, at least until the rest of the pieces are done, but thank you for the advice all the same.
in the meantime, i have been trying to get into Murphey's head, and found this - i think it says it all:

there is actually black shiffon over the eyes, now, but i think its a little thin. or it could be that the flash was a little bright on the camera

Wicked suit, can you guestimate a time/cost invested just out of curiousity? I love the picture of the patch too

i honestly don't know - i'm not even sure of how much it cost to make. plus, it's taken me weeks to get to this stage - and even that is pretty shoddy. plus, there's the little matter that my folks won't let me make another one in the house - they went nuts about spilt fur, even when i thought i'd cleaned it up - dman clean freaks
