I can never get the hang of knitting

That only uses Stocking stich which is basically Knit a row, pearl a row.
It took me a couple of hours maybe 4, on and off yesterday.
Im going to be making myself one i think. xx

Baby cardigan for a friends newborn baby, Logan.

Based on the pattern, Cadence, by Zoe Halstead. I made a few changes to suit the contents of my stash.
My first knitted garment, I learned a few things in the process - even though I was following pattern, I think casting off the top of the arms makes the arms a little bit tight, next time if it's not too messy I'll not cast off but attach to the armholes. Or... just cast off pretty loosely. I also thought the collar could be a touch longer. I was not attentive during parts of the moss stitch border/collar/cuff (I like to knit myself to sleep but it means sleepy knitting errors) and so a few parts of that are out, but you'd have to be a knitter to notice.

I still hate joining, but my mattress stitch is getting better, yay!! And ofc, need to add buttons.

I love making little gifts for my friends and baby stuff and toys are about all i have patience for at the minute.
