| However im thinking im a bit old for sweet lolita, so perhaps i may go with elegant gothic lolita since ive seen a few i think. Any tips on how to make the skirts and petticoats? | |

| If you wanna wear sweet then wear sweet, doesnt matter how old you are!! But of course wear what you feel most comfortable in ^__^ You could always try Classic, it's closer to Sweet than Gothic but much more grown up looking Skirts are the easiest thing to make ever, just a simple rectangle skirt, these instructions are pretty good <<Basic Skirt Pattern>> Petticoats are a bit more laborious as they require a lot of gathering (which I loathe) so I would say it's definitely worth buying a nice one if you can afford it. You generally don't save that much from making your own anyway as there's a lot of fabric involved. Just make sure you get one with a nice bell shape, not something like a square dance petti which tend to be more triangular If you want some inspiration check out <<daily_lolita>> or feel free to ask anything else here, I'm sure everyone will tell you I'm happy to rattle on about lolita for hours given half the chance XD | |
